Man I wish I could get Japanese tv instead of the crap we have here in the land of Oz, they've got the nuttiest gameshows around..
Seriously, on some of these shows you "win" by simply making it to the end of the show with all limbs still attached. Awesome.

Someone pointed me to this clip, and I had to share it cos it reminded me of the old show "Takeshi's Castle" that I remember falling in love with back in primary school. I've seen literally hundreds of clips similar to this taken from Japanese tv, and its making me wonder if they have a permanent channel dedicated to crazy obstacle course shows..

I love this shit.
Also, WTF is the announcer screaming? Man I wish I knew Japanese. Many lol's were had at "SPIIIIDAAAAAH WAAALKUUUUUUU!!!!11!!". That guy goes off!
If you're like me and need names of similar shows to hunt down, but don't speak Japanese, heres what I've found so far:

• Sasuke - aka "Ninja Warrior" (I think thats where the above clip is from)
• The last challenge
• Viking Challenge
• Silent Library - Not crazy physical challenges, but funny shit anyway

We seriously need to get this stuff on free to air aussie tv, I don't even care if it stays as nonsensical japanese screaming, its awesome :)
Update: And now apparently Gladiators is returning. Not quite what I had in mind..
